Maurice Maxwell was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. The analyst from the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory who originally tested the substance seized from Maxwell retired before trial, so the government offered the testimony of his co-worker instead. The co-worker did not personally analyze the substance herself, but concluded that it contained crack cocaine after reviewing the data generated by the original...
