Christopher and Diane Freitas ("appellants") attempted to negotiate a mortgage modification with their home mortgage loan servicer, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Inc. ("Wells Fargo"). After receiving conflicting information from Wells Fargo representatives, appellants stopped paying on their mortgage loan.
