Robert J. Dietrich pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault of a child in violation of Wis. Stat. § 948.02(1)(b) and was sentenced to thirteen years of initial confinement and ten years of extended supervision. After exhausting his post-conviction remedies in the Wisconsin courts, Dietrich filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 in the Eastern District of Wisconsin...
