Shaquille Griffin, a Chicago public high school student, sued Richard Bell, a Chicago police officer who was working as a security supervisor at Griffin's school, for using excessive force in arresting Griffin. See 42 U.S.C. § 1983. A jury rejected Griffin's claim and found in favor of the officer.
