Louis A. Soileau pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). At sentencing, the district court1 determined Soileau had four prior convictions which qualified as violent felonies, and thus he was subject to the enhanced sentencing provisions of the Armed Career Criminal Act (ACCA), 18 U.S.C. § 924(e).
