Rice was indicted on September 22, 2010, on one count of knowingly possessing a firearm on or about May 25, 2010, while being an unlawful user of controlled substances in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3). Rice later pled guilty without a plea agreement and was sentenced to 46 months' imprisonment.
