Baird, an African-American female attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation ("PBGC"), filed suit in district court against the PBGC, claiming employment discrimination and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e.
