In July 2010, a jury convicted Defendant-Appellant Charles D. Stergios of two counts of bank fraud and one count of mail fraud. Stergios appeals the jury's findings that the banks he defrauded were FDIC insured (an element of bank fraud) and that he used the United States mails to perpetrate his frauds (an element of mail fraud).
