Jason Senne violated a Village of Palatine municipal ordinance when he left his vehicle in a parking space overnight. He returned to his vehicle to find a $20 parking citation on its windshield. Displeased that the citation revealed personal information—such as his driver's license number, address, and weight—Senne initiated a multi-million-dollar class action lawsuit.
