In this case, defendant-appellant Anthony Page was charged in one indictment with narcotics violations and possession of a firearm after he had previously been convicted of a felony. The district court denied his motion to sever the firearm count from the narcotics counts. Page was tried on the counts together, and convicted on all counts.
