Jessica Benuzzi, one of the first female custodians hired by the Chicago Public Schools, has spent more than twenty years climbing the ranks of the maintenance staff. In 2004, she reached the Grade V-II Engineer level, which qualified her to oversee custodial operations at large school buildings.
