For $20, Ruth Kane repeatedly restrained her nine-year-old daughter (the child)1 while a pedophile molested and raped the child. Kane did so approximately twice a week for a total of more than 200 sexual molestations. After a jury found Kane guilty of various federal sex crimes, the district court sentenced Kane to 120 months in prison. We held Kane's sentence was unreasonable and reversed.
