This habeas corpus case is before us for the second time, after the remand for an evidentiary hearing that we ordered in Price's first appeal. 514 F.3d 729 (7th Cir.2008). The origin of the case is a bizarre incident of mayhem in 1991. Price was driving his truck and struck a pedestrian.
