A jury found Samuel Johnson Ewing guilty of armed robbery of a federally-insured credit union and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. See 18 U.S.C. §§ 2113(a) & (b); 924(c)(1)(A)(ii). The district court sentenced him to 139 months in prison for the robbery and a consecutive 84 months for the brandishing offense. Ewing appeals the conviction, arguing insufficient evidence...
