Alfred Gant was found guilty of one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Because Gant had at least three prior convictions for a violent felony or a serious drug offense, he was sentenced as an Armed Career Criminal (ACC) to 188 months of imprisonment. After a failed appeal and a successful collateral attack, Gant was resentenced to 180 months of imprisonment. Gant then filed a habeas corpus...
