A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Velma Mireles with one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1956(a)(1)(A)(i). Pursuant to a plea agreement, the Government agreed to move to dismiss the indictment, and Mireles agreed to waive indictment and plead guilty to one count of misprision of a felony, a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 4.
