MURPHY, Circuit Judge.

Wyatt J. Ellison was convicted of aiding and abetting the robbery of three federally insured banks, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a) and (d), and of brandishing a firearm during each robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c). He was sentenced to 792 months imprisonment. On appeal he contends that the district court1 erred by overruling his objection under Batson v. Kentucky,
