Bartosz Kupczyk was stopped for speeding on an interstate in Nebraska, and police seized $231,930 from his car. The government initiated an in rem forfeiture action in district court, and Kupczyk moved to suppress the seized currency. The district court,1 adopting the magistrate judge's2 report and recommendation, found that probable cause existed to stop the car and that Kupczyk consented...
