In June 2006, Jeremiah Hirman pled guilty to one count of manufacturing marijuana plants. The district court1 sentenced Hirman as a career offender to 130 months imprisonment. After Hirman's previous felony convictions were deemed to be misdemeanors under Minnesota law, Hirman filed a motion to correct his sentence pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255.
