A jury found Jermaine Samuels guilty on two counts of distribution of cocaine base and one count of possession of more than fifty grams of cocaine base with the intent to distribute. See 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). Samuels's convictions stemmed from his two sales of crack cocaine to a confidential informant, as well as evidence recovered from a search of his girlfriend's car and of the home where Samuels lived with his girlfriend.
