Kaquan De'Marshae Amerson pled guilty to attempted domestic assault in Nebraska state court. See Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-323. He was later indicted by a federal grand jury for possessing a firearm after a domestic violence conviction. See 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(9), 921(a)(33)(A)(ii) (barring firearm possession for "any person who has been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence" that...
