Robert Charles Hennecke, III, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). In determining his sentence, the district court1 concluded that Hennecke has two prior felony convictions for crimes of violence, triggering an enhancement under U.S.S.G. § 2K2.1(a)(2) which resulted in an advisory guidelines sentencing range of 77 to 96 months in prison.
