Jason Walsh suffered from autism. When he was five-years-old, his parents sought help from Dr. Michael D. Chez, who specialized in treating autistic children and who did business through his clinic, Autism and Epilepsy Specialty Services of Illinois. Jason's treatment went seriously awry shortly after he developed pneumonia, and sadly, Jason died on May 9, 2003, of complications from adrenal insufficiency.
