Cornelius V. Dasher pled guilty to a one-count State of Florida information charging him with possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a church. Fla. Stat. § 893.13(1)E(1) (2008). Prior to pleading, his attorney had obtained a promise from Judge Foster, the sentencing judge, that Dasher would be sentenced to thirteen months in a Florida State prison if he pled guilty.
