On advice of counsel, Seante J. McKnight ("McKnight") pled guilty to one count of distribution of fifty grams or more of cocaine base in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(b)(1)(A). Soon thereafter, McKnight expressed doubts regarding his guilty plea in letters addressed to the district court. The district court sua sponte ordered a competency examination. At a subsequent sentencing proceeding, McKnight moved to withdraw his guilty...
