HARTZ, Circuit Judge.

A jury in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma convicted Edward Cruz Garza of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime. See 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(l)(A)(i). To prove that offense, the government needed to establish that Mr. Garza (1) committed a drug-trafficking crime, (2) possessed a firearm, and (3) possessed the firearm in furtherance of the drug-trafficking crime....
