This action arises from a car accident that occurred after a Christmas party held by defendant-appellee ICN Pharmaceuticals ("ICN") for its employees. The party was held at Palmas del Mar resort complex ("Blue Water Palmas"). José Serrano Torres ("Serrano"), an employee of ICN, allegedly left the party legally drunk and crashed into plaintiff-appellant Ruth Vernet's vehicle in a residential area in Palmas del Mar.
