On August 23, 2004, Raul Torres ("Torres") was seriously injured while working at Carrabassett Trading Company ("CTC") in North Oxford, Massachusetts. Torres came to work at CTC through an agency known as Venturi Staffing Partners, Inc. ("Venturi").
