There is a line between zealous representation and abuse of the processes of litigation. Lawyers who overstep it do so at their peril. In the case before us, the district court found that a law firm had crossed the line by unreasonably and vexatiously multiplying the proceedings in a class action. See 28 U.S.C. § 1927.
