Richard Dean Swope was indicted on one count each of bank robbery and use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. See 18 U.S.C. §§ 2113(a), (d), 924(c). Swope moved to suppress both physical evidence obtained pursuant to a search warrant and statements he made to the police. The district court1 granted suppression of Swope's statements but denied suppression of the physical evidence....
