Plaintiff Geraldine King worked as a ticket clerk for Defendant Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Company ("Burlington"). Following a theft incident, Burlington filed a criminal complaint against King and fired her. The criminal proceedings, however, terminated in King's favor.
