Appellant Earl Porter appeals from the trial court's denial of his D.C.Code § 23-110 motion, in which he sought relief on the ground that he received ineffective assistance from his trial counsel. The motion argued that Porter's trial counsel was ineffective in failing to seek suppression of evidence recovered from the scene of an alleged robbery.
