Appellants Saara Abdul-Haqq and Michael Gilbert brought this medical malpractice action on behalf of themselves and their minor son, Ilyaas Gilbert, who suffered severe injuries at the time of his birth. They claim that Dr. Menachem Miodovnik, an employee of the Washington Hospital Center ("WHC"), was negligent because he did not intervene to alter the treatment plan the District of Columbia Birth...
