The defendant, Daniel Smith, appeals from the trial court's denial of his amended motion to correct illegal sentence under Practice Book § 43-22,1 in which he challenged the legality of the manner in which his current thirty year prison sentence for accessory to manslaughter in the first degree with a firearm in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-8 and 53a-55a came to be
