LAVINE, J.

The defendant, Kadafie Fernandez, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a).1 On appeal, the defendant claims that the court improperly denied his motion for a new trial that was predicated on alleged prosecutorial impropriety. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
