The defendant, Herbert Clark, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a)(1). On appeal, the defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) allowed the introduction of four prior felony convictions for the purpose of impeachment and (2) issued a standing criminal restraining order against him. We affirm in part and reverse in part the judgment...
