BEAR, J.

The self-represented petitioner, William Coleman, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court dismissing his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. On appeal, the petitioner claims that the court improperly (1) dismissed his petition without a hearing and (2) failed to appoint counsel on his behalf. We affirm the judgment of the habeas court.
