The defendant, Robert Troy Stephens, appeals from the judgment of the trial court revoking his probation and sentencing him to forty-two months incarceration and eighteen months special parole. The trial court determined that the defendant, who had been placed on probation following his conviction of possession of child pornography in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 2003) § 53a-196d,
