This appeal1 arises from a medical malpractice action brought by the plaintiffs, Winston Morgan and Edna Morgan, the administrators of the estate of Una B. Morgan (decedent), against the defendants Robert Lowe, a thoracic surgeon with a subspecialty in vascular surgery, and Lowe's employer, Connecticut Surgical Group, P.C. (Connecticut Surgical Group).2
