As a general rule, expert testimony is a prerequisite to the successful prosecution of a claim of legal malpractice. Davis v. Margolis, 215 Conn. 408, 416, 576 A.2d 489 (1990). The principal issue in this appeal is whether the trial court properly denied a claim for legal malpractice unsupported by such expert testimony. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
