SCHALLER, J.

The defendant Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Company,1 the plaintiff's insurance carrier, appeals from the judgment, rendered after a jury trial, in favor of the plaintiff, Marilyn O'Donnell. On appeal, the defendant claims that the trial court (1) abused its discretion in denying its motion to set aside the verdict based on insufficient evidence to support the jury's verdict and (2) improperly instructed the jury.
