Appellant Jerry Le was one of two truckdrivers on a cross-country trip for V&H Transport (V&H), a trip for which he would be paid a lump sum of $1,100, with no deductions. Le was seriously injured when, while he was asleep, the other driver was involved in a one-vehicle accident.
