This appeal arises from a dispute as to the amounts and priorities of deeds of trust the parties hold against real property in San Rafael. The trial court ruled plaintiff Elbert Branscomb's $100,000 deed of trust, which originally was in third position, should be reformed to reflect an indebtedness of $500,000, and is the first-position lien.
