Luis Alberto Ramirez and Jose Roberto Armendariz were tried together on two counts of murder arising out of a gang "hit-up" they carried out with a third participant, Luis Menchaca, who testified at the trial after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. Both Ramirez and Armendariz were 16 years old when the crimes were committed, and the jury returned verdicts of first degree murder against both...
