The Court has before it the unpleasant and painful, but necessary, task of deciding whether to impose sanctions against parties and lawyers. Adding to the difficulty is that the Court's decision not to dismiss the bankruptcy case, later reversed, is at the core of the dispute. Further, the Court is rarely asked to impose sanctions, especially against lawyers, because of the ability, civility and professionalism...
