Chapter 11 cases that do not result in a confirmed plan usually end up converting to Chapter 7, which creditors prefer to the alternative of dismissal since Chapter 7 trustees have avoiding powers not available outside of bankruptcy. When the debtor is a farmer and opposes conversion, however, the question of what to do with a failed Chapter 11 case is much more interesting in light of Bankruptcy Code Section...
