¶ 1 Vincent Joseph Guarino was convicted of the kidnapping, assault, and murder of Chad Rowe, among other crimes. This automatic appeal follows the imposition of the death penalty. Ariz. R.Crim. P. 31.2(b). We have jurisdiction under Article 6, Section 5(3)
