¶ 1 Michael Jimenez petitions for special action relief from the trial court's denial of his motion to preclude evidence untimely disclosed by the state. Jimenez contends that the court's failure to preclude the evidence forced him to request a continuance that extended trial beyond the Rule 8 speedy-trial deadline, to enable him to prepare his defense.
