WEISBERG, Judge.

¶ 1 Danny Ray Hardesty ("Defendant") appeals his convictions and sentences for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Defendant contends that the trial court erred in refusing to recognize his religious practice defense based on the free exercise clauses of the United States and Arizona Constitutions and the Arizona statutory provisions related to such protections.
