In 2007, appellant Cleveland Smith entered a negotiated plea of guilty to kidnapping and third-degree domestic battery of a minor, and an aggregate sentence of sixty months' imprisonment was imposed. The judgment-and-commitment order did not require that appellant register as a sex offender, although our statutory scheme required registration based on his conviction for kidnapping a minor who was not his child.
